RNAQ Food Bank opened at Kotokuraba in Cape Coast
In a demonstration of its commitment to community welfare, the RNAQ Foundation successfully inaugurated three new food banks in Cape Coast and Tamale, aimed at providing accessible food distribution hubs for the people in the area.
The RNAQ Foundation opened one of the food banks at Kotokuraba in Cape Coast on Monday, November 17, followed by the launch of two additional branches in Tamale on Wednesday.
According to RNAQ Holdings, the expansion of food banks in other regions marks a crucial step in its mission to establish a robust presence across both regional capitals to help bring immediate relief to vulnerable populations.
President of RNAQ Holdings, Mr. Richard Nii Armah Quaye, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, at his palace in Cape Coast for his blessings and support for the new initiative.
Following the engagement, the RNAQ delegation was joined by sub-chiefs of the Oguaa Traditional Council to officially open the food bank at Kotokuraba amid joy and excitement, with many residents expressing gratitude to the foundation for a timely intervention to provide food for the less privileged in the area.
RNAQ Foundation proceeded to Tamale in the Northern Region, where Mr. Quaye and his delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Tamale, Nyaba Dakpema Fuseini Bawah at the Dakpema Palace.
The delegation, who received a warm reception from the second-in-command at the chief’s palace, Nyaba Dakpema Wulana, and the palace secretary, Mr. Alhassan Basharu Daballi, presented undisclosed amount of money to the traditional council.
The palace secretary, in appreciation, presented cola nuts to the delegation, while expressing profound gratitude to Mr. Richard Nii Armah Quaye and his team for extending a hand to the people of Tamale.
He further assured him of the city’s “unconditional commitment” to supporting all RNAQ Holdings businesses operating in the Northern Region, especially in Tamale, where RNAQ Foundation will help make food available to the less privileged.
Popular hiplife artiste based in the Northern region, Fancy Gadam, also entertained guests and individuals who thronged Kukuo and the Agric Traffic Light to witness the inauguration of the food bank.
These new branches are now fully operational, extending the reach of the RNAQ Foundation’s food assistance programmes and ensuring that essential nutritional support is readily available to families in need across Ghana’s Central and Northern regions.
