Rotary Club of Accra-Ring Road Central has presented skate soccer equipment worth thousands of cedis to the Ghana Skate Soccer Federation.
The items included headgears (helmet), knee and elbow pads.
The President of Rotary Club of Accra-Ring Road Central,Tony Asare, indicated that the gesture was to support the sport as they strive to market it to the outside world.
He added that polio ranks high among the problems his outfit seeks to address.
“As a club, we look at areas where we can support, hence this gesture. Last year, for instance, we injected $1.2m into the purchase of polio drugs as we strive to uproot it,” he revealed.
Officials of the Ghana Skate Soccer thanked the donors for the gesture.
