Minister for Communication and Digital Technology, Samuel Nartey George, has reacted to the recent Russian tourist’s secret recording of his engagement with some Ghanaian ladies.
According to him, he has invited the Russian envoy to Ghana for a discussion about the criminal aspect of the engagements.
The minister disclosed that while there is no criminality in his consensual engagements with the ladies, same cannot be said about the secret recording.
He said efforts would be made through Interpol to have the Russian extradited to Ghana to face the law for the breaches.
“We want the gentleman to be extradited to Ghana, for him to face the rigours of our law,” he said and added, “you cannot record a citizen without their consent and post it online. That constitutes a crime under the Cybercrime Offenses Act.”
Vyacheslav Trahov was in the country recently, his video recording of the hotel room engagement he had with some Ghanaian ladies trending virally and triggering social media uproar.
