Ghanaian journalist, Serwaa Amihere, is under fire after her recent interview with Chef Smith, who was caught in a scandal involving a fake Guinness World Records claim.
In the emotional interview, Chef Smith tearfully apologised for his actions, attributing them to a need for survival.
However, Serwaa’s handling of the interview has sparked criticism from her followers, who accused her of being judgmental.
Some commenters pointed to Serwaa’s alleged scandal with ex-lover Henry Fritz, questioning her credibility, moral standards and professionalism.
An excerpt of the interview video shared on her X page under the caption “Watch My Interview with Chef Smith live now on YouTube” received backlash from her followers, criticising her judgemental line of questioning, accusing her of immoral misconduct.
Micheal Blakka commented, “Serwaa is asking somebody why did he do that. Madam if we want to ask you why do you follow other women’s husband right now u go vex ooo.”
Blay Waves also wrote, “I’m no expert in journalism but Serwaa what was wrong, in my small understanding after every question and the response is not satisfying to ask a follow-up question or move on, you don’t keep on asking the same question hoping for a different answer, it seems you still have a baggage.”
Iamkudzo added, “The jokes keep writing themselves. Who sent you? Who interviewed you after your debacle with Henry Fitz?”
The controversy surrounding Serwaa’s interview with Chef Smith has raised questions about journalistic ethics and integrity in the entertainment industry.
