Corporate Communications Manager at Vivo Energy Ghana, Shirley Tony Kum, has retained her spot on the list of top 10 Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana 2024 for the seventh consecutive time.
The unveiling of the list is part of WiPR Ghana’s celebration of International Women’s Day, which is in its 7th year to celebrate the remarkable contributions of women in the field of Public Relations.
Shirley Tony Kum has been a recipient of this recognition since 2017 and she is subsequently winning in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and currently 2024 which highlights her leadership and contribution to the grooming of the next generation of female PR practitioners, impactful campaigns, and dedication to the development of the industry.
Ms. Shirley is known for initiating bold Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects which include donating solar panels to Junior High School (JHS) 3 students at La Enobal Basic School and La Presby Primary A and B in Accra, converting the existing pit latrine, into modern water closets, along with the installation of urinal bowls and hand washing basins for both male and female washrooms.
Ms. Shirley in a Facebook post wrote, Top 10 Women in PR for the 7th Consecutive Year – 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024! The number seven stands for the perfection of human work under God’s mercy. It can only be God.”
In the year under review, WiPR Ghana received 26 nominations from the PR community to aid the search for the 2024 edition of the Top 10 Women in PR.
