Springboard Foundation Targets 1 Million Youth

The Springboard Road Show Foundation (SRSF) has announced its intention to groom about one million young Ghanaians for personal and business leadership on the African continent.

SRSF made this known at the launch of its Agenda 2027 and Springboard 2017 respectively on Thursday in Accra.

Co-Founder of SRSF, Rev. Albert Ocran, who made this known, said Agenda 2027 will be anchored by nationwide road shows and mentorship programmes, which shall subsequently be extended to districts and communities across the nation.

That, he said, would increase the number of beneficiaries from 150,000 to the projected one million.

According to him, Agenda 2027 shall have three pillars namely people, leadership and enablement.

Under leadership, he said, the Foundation shall prepare the youth to prepare a 10-year continental leadership plan, beginning from 2017 with 30,000 individuals, who are to attend the road show in January.

“Through mentoring workshops and breakout sessions, each of the 30,000 participants will be guided to prepare a 10-year Continental Leadership Agenda in three thematic areas – professional, financial and social.”

“The new introduction to this year’s road show is the Ladies Entrepreneurship and Advocacy Development (LEAD), a mentoring programme for young women in all 10 regions,” he said.

He said that SRSF is for the first time encouraging individuals and Road Show alumni to take up the challenge of co-sponsoring all participants to attend the 2017 Road Show for free by donating GHC20 or more.

The Springboard Road Show has evolved into one of Ghana’s biggest personal development conference since it was introduced on January 13, 2007 at the Osu Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

Over the last decade, about 150,000 individuals in Ghana have been trained in regional events on career guidance, one-on-one mentoring, training workshops and presentations from various leaders.

Millions of people have reportedly benefited from the show through live streaming and rebroadcast of the presentations on several radio, television and online platforms.

The Springboard Road Show Foundation is a non-for-profit organization committed to grooming the next generation of African leaders and entrepreneurs.
