Samson Teye Amoah (M), with graduates and parents
Founder of Samson Fashion Training Center (SFTC) and Samson Kreation, Samson Teye Amoah, has advised graduates of the school to stay updated on industry trends to continuously educate themselves, leverage technology to improve efficiency, enhance customer’s experience and foster collaborations.
He asked them to strive to create designs that will inspire, empower and promote sustainability and also build brands that resonate with the audience.
He advised that, as they embark on their professional path, “they should always remember that fashion is more than just aesthetics; it’s a reflection of culture, identity and values.”
He said this during the 5th graduation of SFTC and Samson Kreation, themed, “Projecting Ghana through Fashion” which saw a total of 11 people graduating.
He highlighted that, as an entrepreneur, prioritising customer satisfaction is paramount adding that customers are the driving force behind success, “so my policy is to maintain transparency and honesty with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded,” he added.
He emphasised that, his inspiration emerged from his own apprenticeship experience and witnessing others struggle through theirs, so “I recognised a need for an institution that would provide opportunities for talented yet underprivileged fashion designers”.
“By establishing this institution, I aim to create a supportive environment that makes fashion education accessible and affordable for those who may not have had the means,” he said.
According to him, the total enrollment of the training centre stands at 53, adding that, the training centre has been accredited by the National Vocational and Technical Institute N.V.T.I for Certificate one and two.
He said, “As our institution has over the past the five years expanded and continues to grow, we urgently require a larger space to accommodate our increasing numbers”.
He, therefore, appealed to the government to support and invest in the fashion industry.
Raina Mwinibanzora, one of the graduates, showed her appreciation to Mr. Amoah and his team for the training they received during their stay at the school.
She congratulated her fellow graduates and urged them to make a positive impact and develop a deep understanding of their clients preferences, needs and values.
