Dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, was attacked by some unknown assailants just some minutes before going on stage at his ‘Ashaiman To the World’ concert on Saturday.

The attackers, who had cut the artiste’s tent, missed him but ended up slashing the back of his wife, Louisa Satekla, who was also in attendance to give his husband support.

In spite of the attack on his life and injury sustained by his wife, Stonebwoy still went ahead to give an impressive performance to his teeming fans at the Sakasaka Park around the Ashaiman underpass, whilst his wife was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

Stonebwoy posted on Facebook some few hours later to give a full detail about how the attack unfolded, supposedly in an attempt to harm him.

“Knife cuts Tru My Tent Missed Me As Target And Cuts wifey on her back side! Minute Before I Hit Stage! But #IstillDeliveredForMyPeople and Rushed To The hospital right after I Got Off Stage… ,” his Facebook post read.

He was optimistic that the assailants would be arrested to face the full rigours of the law.

Stonebwoy, according to a report by Zionfelix.net, rushed to the hospital minutes after his full performance at the concert.

However, the concert has been hailed as a complete success by many attendees and critics albeit the incident.

Shatta Wale also joined Stonebwoy on stage to perform together to mesmerise the gathering.

Meanwhile, police within the municipality have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident to apprehend the perpetrators of the act.

Superintendent Toni Adepa, Crime Officer of the Ashaiman Divisional Police Headquarters, told NEWS-ONE that “we have launched investigations into the case and want to appeal to the general public to volunteer information to the arrest of the perpetrators of the act.”
