Mohammed Hafiz Deema Naa
The Chief of Tamale Dakpema Naa Mahamadu has summoned Mohammed Hafiz, also known as Deema Naa, who is alleged to have boasted about having had sex with about half of the ladies in Tamale during a radio interview.
Dakpema Naa Mahamadu said he had instructed his subjects to investigate the matter and would not hesitate to punish Deema Naa if found guilty.
Reports said that some youth in Tamale, led by Mohammed Aboagye, a known National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist, went to the Tamale Chief’s palace to demand the removal of Hafiz Mohammed.
According to the youth, Mohammed Hafiz played a role in the banishment of one Kamil Khamis in the Tamale sex scandal some years back and for that matter he (Deema Naa) should also face punishment for his comments.
They alleged that during the programme on radio, the host asked him (Deema Naa) whether there were many ladies in Tamale when he first came to Tamale, but Deema Naa said that he had finished half of Tamale women.
Responding to the allegations, Mohammed Hafiz Deema Naa told DAILY GUIDE that ever since he arrived in Tamale from abroad, Mohammed Aboagye, a known NDC activist, has always tried to put him into trouble.
“He came to the palace with the youth of Tamale who he claimed were his friends-NDC members and because I am an NPP member, he envies me and wants to use me to get cheap popularity.”
According to Mohammed Hafiz, he reported the case to the Regional Police Commander and Nash Iddi, the gentleman who first broke the news, was asked to substantiate the accusations.
Hafiz Deema Naa stated that he did not mean that he had had sex with the ladies.
“I grew up with my mothers and I will never disrespect, undermine women or degrade any woman’.
He indicated that he came to Tamale to institute the Deema Naa and the Dakpema Educational Fund with his funds to assist brilliant but needy females to further their education.
He appealed to the Chief of Tamale Dakpema Naa Mahamadu to listen to the said tape and take his decision, adding that he would face any punishment if found guilty.
