TC Clique
Years after missing in action, Ghanaian trio, TC Clique, has announced a comeback to their music career; this time, for good.
The group which emanated from Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana in 2002 is out with two new songs titled ‘We Come From Ghana’ and ‘Mr DJ’.
TC Clique, an acronym for Twin City Clique, many years ago brought together over seven emcees to form the group. Their common interest at the time was to raise the bar and achieve higher heights after groups like Sass Squad and TH4 Kwagees had emerged.
In 2003, some of the members of the group opted out to pursue other interests with only three members like Marcus Guy, Kayci Mowe and Trash Pakay remaining.
The trio recorded their first album under Demuf Productions titled ‘Whe Nstop Hen’ (Nothing Can Stop Us).
The album also had great songs like ‘Sophie’, ‘Agro Ne Fom’, ‘Paul Amba Nt?m’, amongst many others. The group also worked with some great highlife artistes like Silas Yankson, Paa Kofi Shabo and Kofi Bentsil. The group went on to collaborate with Randy Nunoo on the ‘Papa Blackman’ track.
However, they later went ‘underground’ due to other external callings.
After a long absence from the music scene, TC Clique says it is back again. The song, ‘We Come From Ghana’, which features Expo seeks to eulogise artistes from Ghana as the greatest on the African continent.
The second song, ‘MR DJ’, is a party song commending DJs and urging them to keep doing what they do best. The song features Ayesem, who is also from Sekondi -Takoradi.
