Teachers Licensure Results In October

The National Teaching Council

THE NATIONAL Teaching Council (NTC) has announced that the teacher licensure examination results will be released by the middle of October 2018.

NTC made the announcement in a press release issued by the Head of Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Education, Ekow Vincent Assafuah.

It acknowledged the success of the licensure examinations which ended recently. It, however, point out that “the examinations encountered a few challenges, including delays in the start of the times of the examinations as well as rumours of leakage of the examination questions.”

The statement gave the breakdown of the total of 28,766 candidates who sat the examinations as: diploma students, 24,687; first degree holders, 3,885; master’s degree, 7; and post-graduate diploma in education, 187.

According to the statement, “the National Teaching Council is committed to conducting the licensure examinations in the most professional manner possible, to ensure that teachers in this country are brought in line with international best practices.”
