Twellium Industrial Company, Ghana, producers of Run Energy Drink and Verna Natural Mineral Water has partnered Millennium Marathon for this year’s race in Accra.
And per the partnership, Twellium Industries becomes the official water and beverage sponsor for the event scheduled for September 22.
In a media briefing at its Kotoku head office, near Nsawam yesterday, Ali Ajami of Sales and Marketing, Twellium said his outfit came on board because of the prestigious nature of the competition as well as to promote sports in the country.
‘We are on board due to the benefits of sports, our Run Energy Drink is designed for sports persons and all who are health conscious. We will refresh participants and there would be surprises from us at registration centres. ”
Millennium Marathon founding president, Ambassador Ashie Morton pledged a masterful event and indicated that runners from UK, Ethiopia and other parts of the world are expected in the 21 km race.
“Daily exercise is the best healthcare. All participants are expected to do is to walk, jog and run to the finishing line. We are grateful to Twellium for this support and we urge other corporate bodies to follow Twellium’s shining example. The bibs for the race are free at registration centres,” said Mr Morton.
He announced that fortnight draw with attractive prizes would be conducted at beginning of this week.
The event, themed ‘Run the change in you’ is being sponsored by Japan Motors, Papaye Fast Foods, Alliance Insurance, Elite Sports, Smart Books, ddp, Accra Mall, Unilever and Wigal.
