Freddie Blay
UNITED KINGDOM (UK) wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has endorsed the candidature of aspiring National Chairman of the party, Mr. Freddie Blay.
The UK NPP has also endorsed the candidature of aspiring General Secretary, John Boadu, and aspiring National Organizer, Sammi Awuku.
Speaking to journalists recently, Chairman of UK NPP, Kwaku Nkansah, made it known that Mr. Blay, Acting Chairman of the NPP, had the requisite skills and experience to make the ruling party attractive to voters to increase its electoral fortunes come 2020.
He indicated: “The party was placed in a tough situation before the 2016 general elections, an experience I wouldn’t want to recount.”
He noted that “it took a solid team led by our Ag. Chairman to overturn all the odds and misfortunes against us to enable the party win massively in 2016”.
Mr. Nkansah added that “this we believe is enough to give Chairman Blay, Sammi Awuku, and John Boadu the opportunity to steer the affairs of the party as the Chairman, Organizer and Secretary respectively”.
The delegates of NPP from around the world are currently in Ghana for the National Congress slated for Friday, 6th July, to Sunday, 8th July, in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional Capital.
