Vic Mensa Walks A Free Man After Arrest Over Mushroom

Rapper Vic Mensa has been freed following his arrest on Saturday, in Dulles International Airport, Washington DC for possessing mushrooms.

He announced on Wednesday that he has been given his freedom. The rapper tweeted, “I’m freeeeeee. Love you all. God works in mysterious ways.”

TMZ reported that Vic Mensa was arrested by US Customs Agents while returning from Ghana with a stash of mushrooms.

According to the website’s law enforcement sources, Vic was booked for felony narcotics possession.

It also reported that “Fun fact: Psilocybin (the scientific name for shrooms) remains a Schedule I substance under federal law although there’s now a push in some states to legalize it and they’ve already been decriminalized in some communities.”

But Vic says he has been freed without further details as to what happened.

Vic had been hanging in Ghana with Chance the Rapper and lots of people in high places.

The duo posed for pics with President Nana Akufo-Addo.

The Chicago-born and raised artistes had spent the holidays in Ghana for a couple of weeks to encourage tourism as well as have fun.
