Villy & The Xtreme Volumes Band will on Friday, September 30 rock the Alliance Française in Accra with a concert packed with Afro fusion, highlife, Afrobeat, rock and soul.
After successfully releasing their second EP ‘Humanimals’, the group is commencing a series of performances to introduce their latest artistic creations to their numerous fans.
In today’s fast-paced world in which corruption and other social vices have seen a drastic increase, Villy & The Xtreme Volumes is transmitting messages through socially conscious music laced with realism and witty lyrics.
With multiple high-rated reviews of ‘Uncolonised 1’ features by the BBC and other critically acclaimed performances, including a session at the Art Studios, its first concert this year is ‘Uncolonized Vol II’ after kick-starting this series in 2014, in collaboration with Alliance Française.
The group has performed regularly at Felabration Musical Festival (Lagos, Nigeria), Sabolai Radio Music Festival, Asa Baako Music Festival and performed as headliners for the 2012 world music day concert, organised by Alliance Française, Goethe Institute and the British Council in Accra.
