The mortal remains of Faustina Serwaa
A 33-year-old lady, Faustina Serwaa, from Bekwai in the Ashanti Region – who reportedly visited her boyfriend at Hwediem in the Brong-Ahafo Region – died mysteriously at the place after complaining of severe internal pains.
The boyfriend, a 46-year-old painter, Williams Opoku Kwarteng, together with his senior brother, David Kontor, reported the death of his guest to the Hwidiem police.
He was said to have told the police that his fiancée visited him a week ago from Asante Bekwai but later complained of severe internal pains. He said in the process of sending the lady to the hospital, she died on the way. This happened on 5th February, 2018 at about 7:45am.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate Faustina’s parents or family.
The Ashanti Regional police said physical examination of the body showed that there were no mark(s) on it, and that it had been deposited at the St Elizabeth’s Catholic Hospital at Hwidiem for preservation and autopsy.
Brong-Ahafo Regional Police PRO, Chief Inspector Augustine Oppong, confirmed this to DAILY GUIDE in an interview.
