Woman Pays Killer GH¢2,500 For Partner’s Head

Joyce Antwi, the female contract killer

Joyce Antwi, a 41-year-old trader in Kumasi has done the unthinkable by hiring a man to kill her business partner who she owes a whopping GH¢99,000.

The suspect, who is in the custody of the police, was said to have given the alleged assassin GH¢2,500 out of the total GH¢5,000 to commit the crime.

But the said assassin secretly informed the police about the diabolic assignment that the trader had engaged him to do.

Love and betrayal

The said businesswoman initially showed love to Joyce Antwi by giving her an amount of GH¢99,000 to help revive her business and later pay back without interest.

But Ms Antwi betrayed her business partner and engaged the services of an assassin to eliminate her to avoid the refund of the debt.

DCOP Ken Yeboah, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, disclosed that the suspect is currently assisting police in investigations.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, he said Joyce Antwi and the other business partner are friends, who both deal in plywood at Akwatialine in Kumasi.

The suspect in October 2015 borrowed a staggering GH¢99,000 from her business partner with a firm promise of paying back the money later on.

In April 2017, the said business partner informed Joyce Antwi that she would take back her money in June 2017 to revive her almost crippling business.

Joyce Antwi, who had fiendish intentions of not paying the debt, approached the alleged assassin to kill her creditor.

The suspect, who was bent on killing her business partner, paid GH¢2,500 and promised to pay the remaining after the completion of the diabolic mission.

Joyce Antwi transported the said assassin to Buokrom Estate to identify the house of the business partner on Friday, May 26, 2017.

Unknown to Joyce Antwi, the supposed assassin informed the police about her fiendish intentions of eliminating her business partner without any justification.

The police, armed with this vital information, told the business partner about the plans of Joyce Antwi.

On Saturday, May 27, this year, the business partner, upon police instructions, lured Ms Antwi to her house at Buokrom Estate, where the police instantly arrested her.

DCOP Ken Yeboah said Joyce Antwi, during interrogations, admitted contracting the assassin to eliminate her business partner for a fee of GH¢5,000, adding that she even paid GH¢2,500 to him to carry out the deal.
