Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Wontumi
THE ASHANTI Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) – Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Wontumi – has prayed fervently for women and children in the country.
He has particularly prayed to God to expose “every evil activity against Ghanaian women and children, who are vulnerable in society.”
His prayer, which was live on radio, came following a supposed leaked tape from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.
On the controversial tape, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo allegedly said the NDC would be kidnapping some women and children that are related to some NPP gurus.
Wontumi stated that Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo’s alleged statement should not be swept under the carpet, saying the threat from the NDC man is genuine.
“Ex-President Mahama recently said boot-for-boot and now Ofosu-Ampofo, the NDC National Chairman, is also calling for kidnapping of women and children.
“The statements from these two gentlemen had brought about fear and tension in the country and we should not joke with their wild threats,” Wontumi said on Ash FM in Kumasi.
He said Mr. Mahama recently stated that the NDC has a track record of unleashing violence in the country; hence any threat from the NDC should be taken seriously.
Wontumi, who seemed to have turned into a preacher, stated that God is alive and so with fervent prayers the evil plans of the NDC would fail.
