Prince Kamal Gumah seated in front of the Ya-Na
ASPIRING NATIONAL Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Prince Kamal Gumah, has paid a courtesy call on his grandfather, the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Na Abubakari Mahama II, to officially inform him about his intention to lead the NPP youth.
Prince Kamal will officially make his intentions to run for the position of National Youth Organiser of the NPP known when nominations are opened in the coming weeks.
The NPP is scheduled to elect its national officers in July.
Prince Kamal is angling to take over from Nana B, who is chasing the National Organiser position.
The aspiring National Youth Organiser has been tipped by political pundits to win the position. Others also believe his hard work will help ‘Break The 8’ with a united youth front.
Prince Kamal’s visit to the Northern Region was also to seek spiritual blessings from his grandfather, the Ya-Na, who vowed to support his ambition.
Speaking at the private meeting, the Overlord of Dagbon gave a word of advice to the youth, “The future belongs to the youth. You must make the youth a priority, when your win power… it must be in the interest of this country and the generation to come.”
Prince Kamal also called on the Mion Lana, Abdulai Mahamadu, as well as Yoo-Naa, Abdulai Yakubu Andani V, to seek their blessings.
He also visited the Overlord of Mamprugu, Nayiri Naa Bohagu Mahami Sheriga.
