Zoomlion Waste Management Company has disinfected 98 Senior High schools in North East, Savannah and Northern regions.
The dinning halls, dormitories, classes, offices and other facilities of the various senior high schools were disinfected.
Final year Senior High School (SHS 3) students, together with SHS 2 Gold Track students will resume on June 22 and final year Junior High School (JHS 3 ) students , the week after on June 29 with strict adhering not the protocols.
The various tertiary institutions in the region were also disinfected as well.
About 8,000 basic schools in North East, Savannah and Northern region are expected to be disinfected before they reopen.
The Northern Regional Manager of Zoomlion, Dawuni Peter appealed to heads of the various senior high schools in the region to ensure that they adhere to the health protocols when school reopens.
“Once schools resumes , they need to observe the health protocols so that they will be saved from being infected by Covid-19 virus.”
Alhaji Abdullah Abu, Assistant Headmaster of Ghanasco said the disinfection exercise was timely adding the chemicals could kill other inserts in the dormitory and classrooms.
He stated that the school management will meet within the week to put in place health protocol measures before the reopening of the school.
