Bawumia Causes Traffic In Kumasi

Dr. Bawumia during the walk in Kumasi

TRAFFIC FLOW in Kumasi was impeded yesterday when the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia stormed the city for a health walk.

The Vice President, who is in the Ashanti Region for a three-day campaign tour, decided to walk through some parts of the city on Monday morning to exercise his body.

Accompanied by some party gurus, Dr. Bawumia and his team started their walk from Atinga Junction in Ahodwo around 6:30am and headed to Ahodwo roundabout.

News of Dr. Bawumia’s presence in the city spread like wild fire and attracted a sea of people to the streets, who were very excited to see him in their midst.

For a moment, the health walk nearly turned out to be a meet-and-greet session as people tried to shake hands with the NPP presidential candidate for the December 7 polls.

Dr. Bawumia, who is noted for being an accommodating person, shook hands with scores of people even as he walked with the rest of the NPP members to their destination.

Since the health walk brought a sizable number of people to the streets, the movement of vehicles almost became impossible as the roads were choked with people.

Dr. Bawumia is in the region with Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’ and other party stalwarts like Justin Kodua, Nana B and others to campaign for votes.
