The personnel he visited are living with various degrees of injury and ailment, for which reason they cannot work.

A member of the team which accompanied him during the visit told DAILY GUIDE that “it was sad to see some of the personnel who were shot and injured in the line of duty and neglected by the structures in our beloved service.”

One of the persons he visited, a chief inspector, said for the many years that he has been in the service he has never witnessed a commissioner embark on such a visit to listen to the concerns of the other ranks as he is doing.

Dr. Dampare offered the injured and others words of encouragement and announced to them plans to help them out of their predicaments

The collaboration between the COP Dampare team and the Religious Directorate during the visit impacted positively on the objective of the exercise

One of the cops prayed for Dr. Dampare and his team saying “we are grateful to you, COP/Dr. Dampare. May the good Lord continue to protect you. We in the Central Region really appreciate the steps you have taken to restore some hope in us”.
