Dogboe Kayos Juarez … To Win World Title …Opponent Blames Referee

Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogboe Won The WBO Interim World Title Bout On Saturday By Dropping Mexican Cesar ‘Corazon’ Juarez(INSET)

Ghana’s undefeated boxer Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe produced a polished performance to knockout his Mexican opponent Cesar Juarez at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday.

His vintage display handed him the interim World Boxing Organization ( WBO) World Super Bantamweight  belt; and improved his unblemished record to 18, with 12 of them by way of knockouts.

‘The Royal Storm’, 23,  began aggressively from start till Referee Tony Weeks stopped the fight in round five when the Ghanaian delivered a heavy left hook which sent the visitor down.

Before the heavy fall, Juarez went down twice. He struggled to regain his composure after the round five fall, which forced referee Weeks to intervene.

The fall ignited a thunderous applause from the jam-packed close to 4000 crowd at the Arena.

Ranked number two in WBO, the offensive-minded Juarez  occasionally proved lethal but the former Olympian survived the scare.

Before the fight, Juarez, who has won 20 and lost five times in 25 fights described the clash as a walkover.

He later blamed the referee for stopping the fight after his fall.
