The Humanity Magazine, has honoured Joshua Alabi, aspiring presidential candidate for National Democratic Congress (NDC) for his campaign manifesto of paying Premier League players.
The former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Management Committee member said “I have a been a football administrator for many years and know how to manage a successful league to bring smiles to the people, that’s why I would ensure that my government would pay the salaries of Premier League players to lift the spirit of Ghana football, intensify the support base and bring more corporate bodies to the game.”
The former Accra Great Olympics chairman revealed a pension package for retired footballers and expressed worry of the state of Ghana’s football.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Humanity Magazine praised the effort of the professor to save the collapse of the local leagues.
He said politics is not about insults, attacks but coming out with useful but problem-solving policies to address the needs or the values of the people.
Alhassan thanked the former GHALCA boss for initiating such a move to save our national league, saying “I called on all the media to join the campaign in protecting, promoting and projecting our national league during programs for the benefit of the country.”
