The Northern Regional Minister, Shani Alhassan Shaibu has indicated that a total number of 141 roads is currently under construction in the Northern region by the road ministry.
“ In the Northern region only we can count about 141 road projects being executed by the ministry of roads.”
The Northern Regional Minister who accompanied the Roads and Highways Minister, Kwasi Amoako-Attah to inspect some ongoing road constructions in the region said the construction of the roads will ease traffic in the metropolis as well as boost economic activities for the people of Dagbon from the Sahel regions and neighboring countries.
He urged the people of the north to expect more road infrastructure projects in the region.
“ Everybody in the region will attest to the fact that government is doing a lot in terms of the road with the construction of the Tamale interchange and several toads being asphalted in the region
Mr. Shaibu thanked President Akufo-Addo and the Road Minister for ensuring that the Northern region gets its share of the year of roads project and appealed to the government for more developmental projects for the Northern region.
