The pastor’s car in which the two boys got suffocated
CALAMITY STRUCK at a Fawoade-based church, near Kumasi on Easter Sunday after two boys were found dead in a pastor’s stationery car.
The deceased, identified as Blessed Yiedie Boadi Boakye, a two-year-old and Yaw Ahoto Marfo Asenso, said to be three-years-old, had gone to church on that fateful day.
The two young boys, who attended the church service with their parents, suddenly went missing whilst church service was in progress, sparking fear and panic.
The entire church members, including the pastors, elders and relatives of the two boys, reportedly mounted a wild search for the two boys, but to no avail.
Whilst the search team had almost given up any hope of finding them, a church member saw the two boys lying unconscious in the pastor’s black car.
The said pastor, whose name was not immediately disclosed to the paper by a reliable source, had parked the vehicle right in front of the church auditorium.
It was suspected that perhaps the vehicle was not locked so the children easily gained access and eventually got trapped in it, and they got suffocated in the process.
The two children were said to be very weak when they were found in the vehicle. The church members then rushed them to the hospital for medical attention.
Unfortunately, the two boys were pronounced dead by medical personnel, and their bodies have been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
The source, who demanded anonymity, said the case has been reported to the police, who have commenced investigations. The pastor/car owner has been nabbed.
