The suspected traffickers in police custody, the rescued victims and suspect Angel, the kingpin, wanted.
Two Nigerians have been arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly transporting six of their compatriots to Ghana to engage in prostitution.
They are Ify Mba, 33, and Amanda Eze Chioma, 23, both unemployed.
The police are also on the heels of a third suspect Angel.
The prosecutor, ASP Agnes Boafo said that the three persons between 14 and 23 March, this year trafficked the victims to Batsoona in Accra.
The victims are Blessing Ogbeoaide, 26; Success Okeke, 20; Blessing Ani, 21; Anike Queen, 21; Joyce Sunday, 21 and Patience Okafo, 25.
Appearing before a court, presided over by Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, the two denied the charges of human trafficking contrary to Section 2 (1) of the Human Trafficking Act of 2005.
They were however admitted to bail in the sum of GH¢70,000 with three surety, one to be justified.
The case has been adjourned until April 19.
The complainants are police officers at Batsonaa District Headquarters while the victims are Nigerians brought to Ghana by the accused persons.
The accused persons are also Nigerian nationals, who travelled to Ghana and lodged at Kormens Hotel at Batsonaa.
On March 24 at 7pm, the police had information that a group of Nigerian girls were being escorted by some adult women into the hotel at Batsonaa to engage in prostitution.
Based on the information, the police raided the hotel and arrested the accused persons and rescued the aforementioned victims between the ages of 21 and 26.
The victims informed the police that they were from Nigeria on transit to Germany and Dubai to be employed as house helps.
However, they claimed they were forced by the accused persons to go into prostitution in Ghana.
The police further discovered that four of the victims were brought on March 14, locked in the hotel room and forced to swear an oath to engage in prostitution at night clubs in Batsonaa to pay 555,000 Naira, equivalent to $2,000 each.
Two other victims were brought to Ghana on March 23 and made to go through the same ordeal. .
Some victims alleged that they were denied food and water when they refused to engage in the illegal trade.
