25-Year-Old Man Convicted For Robbery In Central Region

THE CENTRAL East Regional Police Command has secured the conviction of 25-year-old Kolie Samuel for robbery. On July 10, 2025, at around 5:30 am, Samuel robbed a female victim of her handbag containing an iPhone 16 Pro Max and an unspecified amount of money at Millennium City near Golden Pride Preparatory School in Gomoa East.

Through intelligence-led investigations and with the victim’s assistance, Samuel was tracked and arrested at his hideout in NgleshieAmanfro, a suburb of Accra, on the same day. A search of his person led to the retrieval of the victim’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, as well as other items suspected to be proceeds of other robbery activities.

Samuel was put before the Ofaakor Circuit Court on July 15, 2025, where he pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and causing harm. He was sentenced to 14 years and 5 years imprisonment, respectively, with the sentences to run concurrently.

The Central East Regional Police Command has assured it commitment to ensuring public safety and security by bringing perpetrators of such crimes to face the full rigor of the law.
