Nigeria’s Covid-19 Cases Cross 50k

Confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria as of Wednesday night, August 19, stood at 50,488.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the cases in a tweet late on Wednesday night.

It says 593 new cases were recorded to push the tally to 50,448.

According to the Centre, some 37,304 patients have been discharged.

Deaths related to the virus as of August 19, stood at 985.
