At least four people have reportedly been killed following bloody clashes over district capital at Atwima Kwanwoma.
DAILY GUIDE could not confirm the deaths as at the time of filing this on Wednesday evening.
A certain Moo Koo, a 27-year-old male, according to eye witnesses, was hit by a bullet and died while being rushed to the hospital.
Scores of people also sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the various medical facilities in Kumasi for treatment.
There was turmoil in the entire district, as rampaging residents of the hitherto peaceful district, clashed on Wednesday.
The police were compelled to transport the District Chief Executive (DCE) in an armored car to save his life due to the ferociousness of the clashes.
The violent attacks were said to be in connection with siting of the district capital at Twedie or Ofoasi, sources alleged.
According to them, gunshots were fired indiscriminately which compelled people, especially women and children, to run for their lives.
The paper gathered that a combined team of police and military personnel was deployed there to avert bloodshed.
Some people that spoke to DAILY GUIDE urged the security agents to impose curfew in the area to help maintain law and order.
