Bugri Naabu and Chief Azorka
The Northern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chief Sofo Azorka has sent a strong warning to the Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Daniel Bugri Naabu not to dare give the president an ultimatum to reduce the electricity tariffs.
According to him, the president does not work at VRA to control affairs of the company so Ghanaians should disregard the press conference organized by the opposition parties in the Northern Region.
“Bugri Naabu can’t give the president instructions, nobody in this country can order President Mahama to reduce electricity tariffs, if you insult the president you won’t find things easy so they should go and campaign because demonstration can’t win elections.”
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE Chairman Azorka said Ghanaians are part of the current electricity problem the country is experiencing saying house owners refuse to pay electricity bills resorting to illegal connections which have caused debt to the electricity company.
He accused the NPP of spreading false information that the NDC intend using the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) community police in the Northern Region to steal votes for the party in the upcoming general elections.
“We don’t need the zoom police to win the November elections, my brother, the NPP is suffering from ‘Dinoses,’ see, we will win the election with the good work we are doing,” he said
