Celebrated hiplife artiste, Aletse Tinny, and his Bard Man Family (BMF) crew have announced a week-long line-up of activities to mark the 2016 edition of the annual Haatso Homowo festivities.
The musician has put together sanitation and clean-up exercise, a strictly highlife live band concert, a health screening exercise and a mega hiplife and dancehall concert, all to happen from Saturday, August 13 to Sunday, August 21.
“I am a resident of Haatso and a Ga and it makes sense that as a musician I should support the chief, elders and people of Haatso to mark the Homowo festival. I see this as my own small contribution and I hope to make it an annual event,” Tinny explained.
On Saturday, August 13, the musician will be leading his friends and residents of the area through sanitation and clean-up exercise at Haatso and its environs.
The clean-up exercise will be supported by Zoomlion Ghana Limited.
On Friday, August 19, Tinny and BMF will organise a live band highlife concert at the forecourt of the Haatso Palace and will have performances from Ghanaian highlife greats, including the good old Adotey Tetor, Adane Best, Doube D, Nii Amoo, First Class Band and several others from 7:00 pm till dawn.
On Saturday, August 20, which is the main Homowo day, the musician has put together a free health screening exercise and NHIS registration in the morning and an all stars mega music concert later in the evening till dusk.
The Saturday, August 20 music concert will have performances from top class acts, including Edem, Samini, VVIP, Shatta Wale, MzVee, Epixode, Nii Funny, Luther, Pop Skinny, Yaa Pono, Jupitar, Joey B, Rudebwoy Ranking as well as a tight list of budding acts.
Tinny and his BMF squad will hold a thanksgiving church service on Sunday, August 21.
