Kojo Bonsu Relocates To Kumasi

FORMER KUMASI Mayor, Kojo Bonsu, has returned to the Ashanti Regional capital of Kumasi.

He arrived in the city on Wednesday evening to kick-start massive campaign for President John Mahama.

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) are determined to win one million votes in the Ashanti Region and the party wants a party man who has blood links with the Ashanti Region to lead the campaign in the region.

Party sources hinted that Kojo Bonsu had been selected as the suitable person to lead the campaign and he reportedly led staunch NDC gurus in the region to Offinso to start the campaign on Thursday. They included Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, the immediate past Chief Executive of Ejisu/Juaben Municipality. It was learnt that they have started house-to-house campaign at Offinso.

The ex-KMA Boss, who is a native of Offinso, was said to have been accorded a rousing welcome to the area where he reportedly highlighted on President Mahama’s achievements and urged the people to vote for the NDC.

The former KMA Chief would be staying in the Ashanti Region for some time to campaign for the NDC; though the duration was not known.
