The Parkuso Community Senior High School

PRESIDENT MAHAMA on Wednesday cut the tape to officially commission the Parkuso Community Senior High School (SHS).

The president said the commissioning made it the 16th the community SHSs that had been completed.

A total of over 40 out of the proposed 200 SHSs promised by President Mahama had been completed and are in operation but he is yet to inaugurate all of them.

President Mahama said 123 of the schools are at various stages of completion, adding that five out of 13 of the schools in the Ashanti Region had been completed.

He condemned the ‘politics of blatant lies,’ which he noted are gradually taking center stage in Ghanaian politics, urging politicians to be truthful always.

President Mahama stated that it is not true that the Agricultural sector is on the brink of collapse as is being rumoured by “our political opponents to win votes.”

He charged, “Don’t denigrate our country for political gains.”

He stated emphatically that the agricultural sector is not dying, indicating that the “Agric sector developed by 2.4 percent in 2015 and this cannot be termed as collapse.”

President Mahama disclosed that the agric sector also grew by 3.8 and 4.1 percent during the first and second quarters respectively in 2016, noting that rumours about the agric sector is a hoax.

He urged the media to do a lot of research and become abreast with credible data so that they would not allow politicians to peddle falsehood on their networks.

Nana Boakye Amponsah Okofoban, Parkusohene, urged the youth to stay away from politics and concentrate on their education so that they would grow to become influential people.
