The GH Media School on Saturday, May 26 held her 4th Cohort Graduation Ceremony at the school’s premises at Achimota in Accra.

The occasion was graced with the presence of important dignitaries as well as parents, loved ones and friends of the graduating students.

Speaking under the theme “Skill Based Training – The Panacea To Youth Unemployment,” the Rector of GH Media School, Leslie Addo Listowell lauded the efforts and achievements of the management and staff of the institute over the years.

He emphasized that, GH Media School is not only concerned about academic and professional training, but is totally committed to the holistic training of students.

He said GH Media School has emerged as a brand of choice for both prospective students and the Ghanaian media and arts industry as far as skill oriented training is concerned.

“We believe in equipping our students with the requisite skills to build their career in the media industry. Our training is purely industry based, and with their skills, our students are able to start up businesses on their own even when the existing industry is not able to absorb them”, he said.

Mr. Listowell also added that, GH Media School offers highly practical training to students hence their 30% theory and 70% practical structure; and has all the facilities that aid in the training of students.

Registrar for GH Media School, Michael Ofosu Faakye, in a brief address, charged the graduates never to work for salary but rather work for a cause; and the salary would follow. In concluding his speech, he said, “Go and live a life, don’t go and exist. Be fruitful and multiply in your talents”.

Special Guest of Honour for the 4th Cohort Graduation Ceremony of GH Media School, J.O.T Agyemang in his address said the easiest way for anyone to get into any media house is by knowing something about the technical aspect of media.

He urged the graduates to be the very best of themselves at all times because being unique is one’s own way of achieving success in the media industry.

“If you want to thrive in the media industry then you would have to do your best. Be very bold to discuss who you are. Accept who you are. If you know who you are, you would get there”.

Ghanaian based Nigerian student, Eze Chioma Victoria emerged the overall best student.
