Some visitors at Mount Gemi
A lot of Easter celebrants travelled far and near to take part in different recreational activities in the Volta Region as part of the festive season.
Among the activities were musical concerts, beach parties and tour events.
The Volta Serene Hotel in Ho celebrated the holiday occasion in a grand style, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to feel the culture of the people the Volta Region.
It organised a colourful Kente durbar with chiefs and people of Agotime, where the guests were taken through the Kente weaving process, as well as the history of Kente weaving in the Agotime township.
Visitors were subsequently taken on an expedition to some tourism sites in the region like Mountain Gemi and Monkey Sanctuary.
At Gemi, they climbed the mountain and took some life-time photographs. Revellers also had some great moments with monkeys at the Monkey Sanctuary.
Some had the opportunity to feed the monkeys with bananas.
There were also music performances from the Kwan Pa group at the Volta Serene Hotel on Saturday, where the group entertained visitors with their songs.
They also performed around a bonfire at the hotel, which provided a lovely atmosphere for some lovers among the visitors. ‘Sincity’ was premiered on Sunday to climax the activities.
This year’s Easter celebration was, indeed, big in Ghana. It was marked with different activities in other places like Kwahu, Ada, among many others.
