Heavy duty truck drivers and mechanics with Global Cargo, a leader in global container shipping, have undergone a day’s training.
The training session was held at Zonda Tec Ghana Limited at Tema on Saturday, March 7, 2020.
It was aimed at educating the about 20 drivers on the dangers of overspeeding and disrespect for road traffic regulations.
The resource person for the training program was Liu Shilei, manager of after sales services at Sinotruck.
During the session held inside the Training Centre of Zonda Tec Ghana Limited, Mr. Shilei walked the drivers through how to handle and assemble heavy duty trucks.
He also taught them how to drive heavy duty trucks safely.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the program, Isaac Amo-Baning, Administrative Manager at Zonda Tec Ghana Limited, said there was the need to train drivers to reduce the number of road accidents.
He stated the training centre is the first of its kind and that Zonda Tec Ghana Limited will in the coming days work hard to get a lot of companies to send their drivers for training.
