Adom TV Captures Airwaves With ‘Badwam’

From a humble beginning, Adom TV has grown to become a force to reckon with in the media landscape in Ghana and beyond.

Established some years ago, it has made giant strides, especially in the area of politics, entertainment and sports.

Badwam is a purely Twi-based show which is telecast live between 5:30am and 9:00am from Monday to Friday.

Since it was established, Adom TV which can boast of good presenters like   Omanhene Kwabena Asante, Wallace, Sister Sandy, Afia Amankwaa, Diamond and others has brought hope to television viewers because it entered the television industry with very interesting, entertaining and educative programmes.

Owned by Multimedia Group, the huge audience response Adom TV has received through Badwam has positioned it among the crème de la crème of Ghana’s morning television shows.

Badwam engages key stakeholders in Ghana to proffer information, education and entertainment to its viewers.

Some of the segments on the programme include a summary of the daily newspapers, news summaries, sports (Agokansie), entertainment review (Ahosepe), Afisem social issues analysis (Afisem), among others.

Hosted by Omanhene Kwabena Asante and Kyeraa Diamond, Badwam is structured in a manner whereby hot issues about politics, education, sports, religion, social and cultural issues, among others, are discussed.

A typical Badwam show day starts with inspirational songs, followed by its hosts outlining the topics for the day’s discussions and then interlaced with newspaper review, among others.

“We want to differentiate ourselves from a cluttered mass market and give our viewers and clients quality service for their time and money,” producers of the show told BEATWAVES.

They indicated that the station is set to bring to its viewers well-packaged and exciting programmes, adding that since the station wants to have the largest market share, management has put in place interesting programmes which will start rolling soon.

The producers mentioned some of the outdoor events which are organised by Badwam to entertainment its cherished viewers.

One event includes ‘fufuo party’, which is held on March 6 to promote the consumption of local dishes and also to promote Ghanaian culinary skills and culture.

‘Kyinkyinga party’ is a May Day music and barbecue event organised to celebrate Workers’ Day, and  ‘4 Super Fridays’ is another outdoor programme held in selected constituencies focusing on the local politics of the area and bringing to the fore all issues that concern constituents.
