Both girls, said to be aged 13 and 14, reportedly got ‘missing’ after school on Friday.
They then lied on phone to their relatives that that they had been kidnapped.

The report of the kidnapped girls spread like wild fire in Kumasi over the weekend, sparking anxiety among residents of the city, particularly family members.
Top security agents from the national capital, Accra, reportedly, had to storm Kumasi over the weekend to assist their colleagues to help locate the girls and rescue them.
Monday’s Arrest
According to reports, a female friend of both teenage girls supplied vital information to the police, which eventually led to the arrest of the girls on Monday morning.
The said female friend (name withheld for security reasons) led the police to a male friend of both girls, who helped the police to locate the whereabouts of the girls.
“The boy called both girls on phone and told them he was to deliver an item to them so they should tell him their whereabouts, which the girls, who didn’t suspect that the police were with him, obliged.”
“The boy (informant) then led the police to Tafo Ahenbronun on Monday morning, where both girls were arrested on the streets,” a reliable source disclosed.
According to reports, the girls upon seeing their parents who were with the police, took to their heels and they were given a wild chase, resulting in their arrest.
‘Kidnappers’ Escape
The boys, who were keeping the girls in their house, rather got wind of the arrest of the girls in time, so they (boys) escaped as police searched for them.
Kidnapping Ploy
Reports indicated that both girls were having amoral affair with some young boys on Friday, after school hours and decided to spend the weekends with their boys.
The girls then hired a car to Tafo Ahenbronum, where they reportedly had a nice time with their boys.
The girls, under the influence of the boys, then hatched a plan to lie that they had been kidnapped.
One of the girls called her siblings and lied that they had been kidnapped, and were being kept in a hotel at Suame Magazine area, but they were rather hiding at Tafo Ahenbronum.
