EC Polling Station List Out

The Electoral Commission (EC) has published the list of polling stations for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections, sparking intense debate among political stakeholders.

In a statement signed by EC’s Deputy Chairman in Charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey, on October 10, the Commission revealed that 40,647 main polling stations and 328 dedicated special voting stations will be established.

However, the announcement was met with fierce opposition, particularly from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which demanded ballot statistics ahead of the printing process.

The NDC’s concerns were discussed during a meeting with other political parties on October 10.

The EC clarified on October 11 that the printing of notices of poll for the presidential and parliamentary elections would commence, not the ballot papers.

This clarification came after the NDC expressed dissatisfaction with the EC’s directive to confirm ballot statistics with the commissioned printing houses.
