Ralph De Fellow Ghanaian
Social Media Activist, Ralph Saint Williams, popularly known as Ralph De Fellow Ghanaian, has received backlash on social media after disclosing why he decided to meet the world’s leading streamer, IShowSpeed.
During a TikTok live stream, the activist revealed that he tried to leverage the YouTuber’s 50 million followers, which include many African Americans, to advocate removing the name of coup leader Lt Gen Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka from Ghana’s main airport, to honour the country’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
“Speed has over 50 million followers, many of whom are African Americans. I wanted to use his platform to advocate for the removal of Kotoka’s name from our airport,” he explained.
Ralph De Fellow Ghanaian clashed with Speed’s team and failed to get an on-air plea, but his explanation has fueled online backlash, questioning his priorities over local leaders and jabs at his appearance.
Critics have described his action as tone-deaf amid ongoing issues like illegal mining.
Jeremyb commented saying, “Thank God this foolery wasn’t successful.”
Sage Kenny added, “This guy is finally doing something harder than drugs, and it’s confirmed.”
Kojo Sebor stated, “Your government is in power, you couldn’t use them for that purpose but 21-year-old non-Ghanaian should help you?”
Charity Nicole wrote, “Niqqa thinks he has credibility. Empty, just barking always.”
