Moses Batintora
Multi-instrumentalist Moses Batintora, together with trumpeter Boniface Clare, will delight acoustic music lovers with a variety of Afro-pop tunes at the Goethe-Institut in Accra on Wednesday June 6 .
Also a composer, Batintora, who plays saxophone, trombone and ‘gonje’, is set to showcase some of his recent compositions during the June edition of ‘Goethe Abansuro’, a music session which is dedicated to acoustic music in a serene and relaxing atmosphere.
A leader of Weku Kronkron Band, Batintora has performed in various platforms in Ghana and other parts of West Africa.
He was a member of Wind Afrique Band, which won the maiden edition of New Music Ghana competition, thus, earning them a slot to participate in a music festival in Zambia.
Initiated by the Goethe-Institut in Accra, the acoustic nights are open to young and diverse artists, including poets and musicians to showcase their artistic creations while having the opportunity to interact with their audience.
Both musicians have been involved in several workshops on traditional Ghanaian rhythms organised for music students and lecturers from Europe and the United States of America. Goethe-Institut Ghana is supporting the performance.
