Songstress Adina Thembi is teaming up with the Green Leaf Foundation (GLF) to raise funds for its mobile shelter programme.
Ahaban GLF is a humanitarian organisation built on a growing network of volunteers and donors, all dedicated to working with communities across Africa to tackle developmental challenges.
This is done by reaching out holistically to those in need and helping them reach their full potential.
In the past five years, Ahaban GLF has held 10 shelter programmes across Accra.
The mobile shelter programme is to mainly provide health screening, treatment and health education, as well as clothes and food to the homeless in different communities across Accra.
Adina is adding her voice and talent in the call for the support for this initiative.
Together, both the songstress and the NGO aim to expand the mobile shelter programme and achieve their 2021 goal of having permanent shelters across the city for the homeless.
The benefit concert which has been slated for Saturday, March 28, 2020 will feature the Characters Band, highlife band Kwan Pa, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, among others.
Adina Live! will take place at Alliance Française at 6:00pm. Tickets are currently on sale for GH¢50. All proceeds from the concert would go towards the mobile shelter projects for the rest of this year.
