Agbesi Begs Ashaiman For Norgbey

Alfred Kwame Agbesi introducing the parliamentary candidate for Ashaiman to the supporters

Outgoing Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashaiman Constituency, Alfred Kwame Agbesi has pleaded with his aggrieved supporters to forgive the parliamentary candidate, Ernest Henry Norgbey and vote massively for him on December 7.

Mr. Agbesi asked his angry supporters to come on board and vote for Mr. Norgbey and President John Dramani Mahama.

The legislator has on several occasions refused to endorse Mr Norgbey, who beat him in the last NDC primary.

The MP noted that “The first is to appeal to all my supporters, now that I am not a candidate, now that I am not going to parliament some of them are not happy and want to sit on the fence.

“I want to use this platform to appeal to all of them that I am in the game, I am with the current candidate, I am with the President so for that matter they should also come onboard.”

Hon. Agbesi made the remarks when President Mahama toured Ashaiman on Friday night as part of his campaign.

According to him, outgoing parliamentarians have form a coalition dubbed, ‘2016 Exit Group’ to support the party, presidential candidate and parliamentary candidates.

“So today I am inviting you to be with the candidate till he goes to parliament,” he mentioned.
