Akuapem Poloo In Trouble Again

Controversial actress, Rosemond Alade Brown, aka Akuapem Poloo, has landed herself in trouble again following a police complaint filed against her.

Akuapem Poloo’s supposed god-father, Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB in showbiz circles, is said to have reported her to the police for tarnishing his image.

According to a police statement dated April 29, 2021, sighted by DAILY GUIDE, DKB claimed that the actress has falsely accused him of squandering money he solicited from the public to her when she was jailed for nine months for a misdemeanour offence.

In what many are saying is purely a civil case, DKB complained to the police that “On Thursday 29th April at 10:08am, I received a call to check out my name being tarnished on social media by Akuapem Poloo (Rosemond Brown).”

“I duly went online to find her making degrading allegations against me that I had hoarded a 4,000 cedis (four thousand Ghana cedis) meant for her, sent by one Mama Alice,” he said.

“I haven’t received any 4,000 cedis and I don’t know any Mama Alice. I find these very false allegations that have caused me a lot of humiliation, disgrace and undermining my integrity,” he added.

According to one radio presenter who claims she knows Mama Alice and had spoken to her, Akuapem Poloo misled the public on what transpired on the call.

She said, “The woman didn’t tell Akuapem Poloo that she gave any money to DKB, neither was the money GH₵4,000. The money was donated by Ayisha Modi through the woman.”

She added, “Maa Alice said Akuapem Poloo was in a hurry to break the story to the public instead of listening to the details”.

Akuapem Poloo yesterday took to social media to accuse comedian DKB of squandering GH¢4,000 donated to her by one Mama Alice.

According to the actress, DKB has been avoiding her calls since the message got to her.

She said, “I received a call from a woman who complained that after she sent me an amount of GH¢4,000 I have not called to express my appreciation. So I picked up my phone, and I have called DKB several times but have still not yet returned my calls.”
