Akufo-Addo Receives Grand Honour From Mamprugu Traditional Area

 

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been hailed by the Nayiri, Tiduguma Nayiri Naa Bohagu Abdulai Mahama Sheriga, and the Chiefs and people of Mamprugu Traditional Area for his exceptional service to Ghana.

During a two-day visit to the Northern, North East, and Savanna regions, the President expressed gratitude to the Nayiri and the people for their unwavering support throughout his two terms in office.

A Legacy of Transformation

The Nayiri acknowledged President Akufo-Addo’s remarkable journey, highlighting his unwavering commitment to Ghana’s progress. “Your resolve… unlocked the iron gate to usher in another chapter of Ghana’s moment of glory and success,” he stated.

The Nayiri also praised the President’s partnership with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in transforming Ghana.

Regional Development and Peace

President Akufo-Addo was commended for responding to Nayiri’s call to create the North East Region, resulting in significant improvements in social amenities.

The President thanked the Nayiri for maintaining regional peace and sought continued cooperation to sustain this stability.

A Call for Support

President Akufo-Addo solicited Nayiri’s support for Vice President Bawumia’s presidential bid, emphasizing his competence, loyalty, and honesty. “I believe he is extremely competent, fit and able to be our next President,” Akufo-Addo stated.

As part of his visit, President Akufo-Addo met with key regional stakeholders to discuss pressing issues, including security, environment, and livelihoods.
