A night security guard with A2 Aluminum Company Limited at Ahenema Kokoben in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region has been gruesomely murdered by suspected armed robbers this dawn.
The lifeless body of Agya Annor was found Wednesday October 20, 2021 by some workers of the said company.
The robbers also managed to make away with several amounts of money and a generator belonging to the aluminum company.
The body of Agya Annor has been deposited at the morgue of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for autopsy and preservation.
Prior to the killing of the security man, the robber were said to have fastened his legs and hands with rope behind him.
Immediately after such incident, DGN Online understands that the perpetrators also launched another operation at an ECG vending shop in the area and made away with about GH8,000.
The police are on a manhunt to arrest the armed robbers whiles the body of Agya Annor has been deposited at the KATH’s morgue for autopsy and preservation after the Crime Scene Management team had processed the scene for evidential materials to aid the investigation.
Confirming the incident, the police in a statement issued Wednesday October 20, 2021 said the Ashanti Regional Police Command is pursuing the robbery suspects.
The Police are appealing to the public to assist with credible information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects, saying that ” The Police can be contacted through the Police emergency numbers 0299202240, 0299207770, 191 or 18555.”
