ASA Savings Donates To Remar Home

The Abeka Business Centre of ASA Savings & Loans Limited has donated some items to the Remar Ghana Children’s Home at North Kaneshie.

The items include rice, sugar, gallons of oil, sanitary pads, bags of washing powder, boxes of soaps, boxes of diapers, note books and exercise books, packs of soft drinks, toilet rolls and stationery worth GH¢7,565.

Area Manager of the Abeka Business Centre of ASA Savings and Loans Limited, Zalia Alhassan, said the donation formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) to support the less privileged in the society.

Ms Alhassan said similar donations had been made in the past to the less-privileged in the society.

Receiving the items, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Remar Ghana Christian Rehabilitation Centre, Oko Daniel, expressed gratitude to ASA Savings and Loans Limited for the kind gesture.

Mr. Okoe appealed to other corporate organisations and philanthropists to emulate the good work of ASA Savings & Loans Limited in order to help support the less privileged in the society to find hope and joy.

He indicated that Remar Ghana, which was established in 1994, is a Christian charitable centre for rehabilitation of the marginalized working specifically towards their reintegration into society.

According to him, the Centre has extended its tentacles to 16 Remar communities in 13 localities in the country.

He disclosed that the Centre has presence in Kumasi, Takoradi, Ho, Sunyani, Tamale, Tema, Nsawam, North Kaneshie, with Dansoman as its head office.
