Jubilant Attram FC displaying their medals and the silverware
Attram De-Visser FC has won the maiden edition of the Greater Accra Regional FA Special Competition after beating Charity Stars FC 5-4 on penalties.
Both teams gave a good spectacle to the teeming fans who thronged to the Accra Sports Stadium last Saturday despite a scoreless 90 minutes; sending it to penalty shootout.
Attram De-Visser FC managed to expertly convert all five of their kicks as against four from Charity Stars FC to win the giant trophy that was at stake.
In the third and fourth playoffs played earlier, Tema United thrashed Adenta United 4-0 to pick bronze.
The first curtain-raiser between Tema-based Arsenal Babies and Kalisto Babies from Madina ended goalless.
Rock Ladies also beat Ridge City Women 3-0 in the second curtain-raiser.
The organisers of the competition, the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, mentioned that the competition was aimed at keeping all the Division Two clubs in the region active following the inactivity of football in the country for some time now.
Below is the list of individual winners of the competition:
Best player colts, Emmanuel Tayor (Arsenal Babies), went home with the best player prize, while Esther Anane (Rock Ladies) finished as women best player.
