Awutu Senya NPP Women’s Wing Launched

The Awutu Senya West Constituency under the auspices of the Women’s Organiser, Lucy Oforiwaah Effah, on Saturday launched a women’s wing at Awutu Senya in the Central Region.

The women’s wing has a total membership of over 1,000 women and was tasked to trumpet government policies and work to attract more women votes in the 2024 general elections.

Lucy Oforiwaah Effah, in her welcome address, said the focus of the party is to push women into leadership roles and empower them to a sustainable livelihood, through government policies that are tailored towards women.

Madam Lucy added that all the women in the constituency will be mobilised to prosecute an effective campaign in the run-up to the 2024 election.

The Central Regional Women’s Organiser of the NPP, Madam Charlotte Adwoa Antwi, who inaugurated the wing, reminded the members of their roles in winning elections, stressing that they must put their shoulders to the wheel.

Madam Antwi further urged members of the party not to feel neglected by the government since it was working effectively and efficiently to ensure that policies and programmes benefitted all Ghanaians.

The Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan, on her part, also admonished the women’s wing to work towards a resounding victory in the 2024 general election.

She explained that it’s also the role of the women’s wing to defend the party at the grassroots level, in other to push the general public into appreciating government projects and policies.

Other guest speakers from the region, when addressing the gathering, entreated members of the NPP to remain united as they were in the last election, which culminated in the party’s victory.
